32" Indonesian Gong with Stand Hand shaped Iron, with brass nipple in center. Deep, penetrating sound. The large Indonesian gong is the low sound of the gamelan orchestra. It has an extremely deep, resonant sound, due to the depth of the gong and the center boss. The gamelan is believed to be of divine origin, with the instruments guided by spirits − the gods communicated with each other through the sounds of the gong. Today the gamelan is treated with great respect. This gong comes with a large mallet which brings out magnificent overtones.
